From a request to a real result.

These outputs were generated through this MCP service, using the same quote, submit and status workflow available to you.

Generation prompt

A red ceramic cup on an ivory table. Slow cinematic camera orbit, warm studio lighting, calm realistic motion. No text.

Turn the reference icon into a polished red enamel star emblem on an ivory background. Crisp product photography, soft studio light, centered composition, no text.

Example results, not a quality or speed guarantee. Models and credit prices are returned by the live service.

  1. 1

    Sign in to ImgEdify

Use your own account. Paid generation draws from its available credits.

  2. 2

    Create a personal key

Choose generation access, an expiry date and a maximum credit cost per run.

  3. 3

    Add your AI client

Paste the configuration below and replace YOUR_API_KEY with your personal key.

  4. 4

    Ask, quote, then generate

Have the assistant check the price and obtain your approval before submitting.

Add this to your personal ~/.cursor/mcp.json. Merge it into mcpServers if the file already has other services.

Keep the real key in your personal client configuration. Do not commit it to a shared repository.

Eight tools. One creative workflow.

Choose a model, prepare a reference, approve a quote, and collect the finished media.

Plan and prepare

list_models
Available image/video models and supported settings.
get_balance
Account credits and the key’s per-run limit.
import_image
Import a reference image from a permitted HTTPS host.

Quote and create

quote_image
Get a price for image generation or reference-image editing.
quote_video
Get a price for text-to-video or image-to-video.
start_generation
Submit the approved quote within maxCredits.

Follow and download

get_generation
Read progress and signed download links for completed outputs.
refresh_generation
Refresh provider progress and reconcile an existing task.

Local reference images can also be uploaded to /api/mcp/assets with the same Bearer key. Upload is an authenticated HTTP operation, not a ninth MCP tool.

Your account. Your spending decisions.

Quotes and status queries do not charge generation credits. Generation is charged according to its quoted price.

Approve the actual quote

Price depends on the model and settings. Set maxCredits to your approved budget before starting.

Understand the key limit

The API key cap applies per run, not per month or to total spending. Repeated runs may use your available balance.

Submit tasks in sequence

An account can have only one active generation. Wait for it to finish before starting another.

Retry the same task

On a timeout, reuse the quote ID. A retry returns the original run instead of creating a replacement paid task.

Start with a clear request.

A product image

Use ImgEdify to create a clean studio photo of a red ceramic cup. List suitable image models, quote the cost, and ask me to approve it. My maximum budget is 20 credits.

A short video

Use ImgEdify to quote a 5-second video of a red cup with a slow camera orbit. My maximum budget is 150 credits. Ask for approval, submit once, and check the existing task until it finishes.

Before your first generation

  • Do I need to install a server on my computer?
No for supported remote clients. ImgEdify hosts the MCP service. Configure its HTTPS endpoint and your personal Bearer key in your client.
  • Is using the MCP free?
Quotes and status queries do not charge generation credits. Generating an image or video consumes ImgEdify account credits at the quoted price. This page does not promise free generation.
  • Why is my client unable to connect?
Check the exact /api/mcp endpoint, the Authorization: Bearer header, and whether your key has expired or been revoked. The client must support Streamable HTTP with custom headers. An OAuth-only client cannot use this API-key version.
  • Can I use reference images?
Yes, within each model’s limits. Upload a local image through the authenticated /api/mcp/assets endpoint, or use import_image for a permitted image host. Supply the resulting asset ID when quoting. Arbitrary external image URLs are not accepted.
  • What if a task takes a long time?
Keep the original run ID and query get_generation no faster than every 10 seconds. If needed, use refresh_generation to synchronize provider progress. Do not create a new quote to retry an uncertain task.
  • How long do download links work?
Result download links expire after one hour. Query get_generation again to obtain a new link. The links are private capabilities, so share them only with intended recipients.
  • Can I revoke access or make a key read-only?
Yes. The MCP management page lets you create read-only keys and revoke existing keys. Revocation blocks future requests; it does not cancel a provider job already submitted.
  • Can I connect directly from ChatGPT?
Not with this version. The service currently authenticates personal API keys and does not implement the OAuth sign-in needed for direct ChatGPT connections.
